Reservations Terms and Conditions

General

You and SURFGASM LDA agree to the terms and conditions of the room rental. The name of the company that runs the Local Accommodation (hereinafter referred to as ‘SURFGASM LDA’ or ‘US) and with which the agreement is concluded, is stated in the booking confirmation. Unless a special agreement is concluded, the following rules apply.

Booking and confirmation

A booking is binding once it has been confirmed and you have received a booking reference number. You may receive this through our bookings systems. When you make a booking, you must state your name, address, email address, arrival and departure time, and payment method. It is important for you to provide your email address so you can receive your booking confirmation, and so you are able to check out online. Different terms apply to different rates; please see the detailed pricing information. In order to book a room at a SURFGASM LDA Room or Apartment, you must be 18 years of age or older. If you book a room for a minor, you are responsible for that person, whether you stay in the room with the minor or not. For security reasons, only employees and checked-in guests have access to our rooms and other reserved areas.

Arrival and departure

Arrival and departure times may vary depending on the booking and price agreements. Please read the information in the list description carefully before you complete your booking.

Cancellations and no-shows

Cancellation terms depend on the price agreed at the time of booking. Read the information in the list carefully. Unless otherwise agreed when making a booking if you do not show up and you have not cancelled the booking in advance, or if you cancel after time allowed by policies, you won’t be reimbursed.

Early departure and indefinite stay

Unless otherwise agreed, if you have booked a room for a certain length of time but leave earlier, you won’t be reimbursed. If you stay at the room for an indefinite period of time and extend your stay on a night-by-night basis or extend your stay further the agreed check out time, you must notify US by written by 10:00 AM the day before your departure. Otherwise, you will be required to pay an extra night.

Our obligations and your requests

If US cannot offer you a room as agreed, you are entitled to, at no extra cost, a similar or better room. Inform the staff of any requests you have when you make your booking so US can be prepared for your stay. Our spaces have non-smoking rooms. If a guest violates the non-smoking rule, we have the right to demand payment from the guest for any costs arising thereof. Our rooms and spaces are not available for children or pets.

Payment

Payment in advance is required. See our price list for more information. The prepaid amount will be deducted from your final bill. If the booking is cancelled after the cancellation deadline, US are entitled to withhold a booking fee/advance payment. Please be advised that we do not accept payment in cash. We accept the most widely used credit and debit cards. US are not obliged to accept credit and debit cards, checks, vouchers, or foreign currency unless we offer this service.

Tourist tax

The city of Lisbon levies a tourist tax per guest/night. A tax of 4 euros per night per guest (till 7 days) will be charged during your stay

Storage

Storage of valuables and luggage, as well as safekeeping valuables in our luggage room
Our buildings can store your luggage in a common spaces or inside your room. Do not leave valuables or luggage unattended. For security reasons, we are under no obligation to store items of high value or items that could jeopardize the safety of our staff or guests. The company is not fully liable for any items you keep in your room or in the common areas.

Processing of Personal Data

The SURFGASM LDA processes personal data provided by those who make use of our services and products. SURFGASM LDA and booking platforms, in which you have booked accommodation, are both data controllers for the personal data that relates to your booking. This processing of personal data will be completed in accordance with SURFGASM LDA’s Privacy Policy. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how SURFGASM LDA treats your personal information for the purpose of managing your reservation, as well as your rights associated with this treatment.
Rates
The rates are available for booking through SURFGASM LDA reservation. Discounted rate (subject to availability). Credit card will be charged when the reservation is confirmed. VAT included.
Deposit
A deposit of half the monthly rent will be required prior to check-in, with payment arrangements finalized directly between the guest and the company. All security deposits charged will be fully refunded after the room is verified, provided no additional charges are incurred till 15 working days after check out.
Extra charges
The Extra Charges are available for booking through SURFGASM LDA. Any extra charged will occur when additional services or damages are presented.
Activities
The Activities rate is available for booking through SURFGASM LDA reservation. Credit card will be charged when the reservation of any activity is confirmed. VAT included.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations will be charged 100% of total room nights at confirmed rate.
• With the exception of authorized cancellations, we require 30 days cancellation notice prior to your scheduled arrival date for a 100% refund.  Cancellations made 15 days before will be refunded of 50%. Otherwise a penalty of 100% of full reservation.

.Refunds will take 10 to 15 days by bank transfer.
